Heartbreak – “Let your heart break for what breaks the heart of God”
Scripture: Nehemiah 1:1-4

Sometimes life hurts. I guarantee the people around you are hurting. I mean it hurts really bad. The death of a loved one, a lost relationship, addiction, or a friend in distress. The first time I remembered pain like this was when my grandmother died. I was nine years old. My mom told me the news and just hugged me in her arms for what seemed like forever. I remember that first deep emotional pain and will never be the same. How do you respond when you receive bad news? Jesus gives us an opportunity at any time to come to him and pray. A new beginning often comes with a deep wound. There is never a time Jesus isn’t available and never a time when he isn’t listening. He promises to never leave us and to lift us out of the pit no matter what we have done, or what has been done to us. Let your heart break for what breaks the heart of God as you go to God In prayer…

This series means a lot to me because I see that the state of our world is the same today. We as a people have turned our backs on God, we have sinned and continue to sin. Surely, this breaks the Lord’s heart. It’s easy to say the world is in sin, but what about US? isn’t it time we took more steps to become closer to God? To please him? I’m looking forward to these 40 days for myself to get right with the Lord. Thank you Josh for this relaunch.
